A new lease of life for an Edwardian end of terrace
Brockley, SE London

This extensive renovation project incorporated a side return extension and loft conversion. Several internal walls were knocked out to encourage light flow and a new solid oak floor was laid throughout to ensure a cohesive feel. Traditional features such as fireplaces and cornicing were kept or reinstated to celebrate the history of the property. The scheme incorporates the client's Scandinavian heritage and family heirlooms. The result is a light and airy, open plan space, perfect for entertaining and hosting.

“Alex created a functional family space that is both timeless and elegant. She made fantastic suggestions that we wouldn't have come up with on our own and created a cohesive scheme that perfectly married our existing belongings and furnishings with new pieces. She fully understood what we wanted and needed from a design team, asking all the right questions to help us fully realise what we wanted, even when we didn't seem to know ourselves! She arranged and managed the builders, the sourcing of all fittings and fixtures, and delivered this on time and within budget. She was fantastic to work with and I couldn't recommend her highly enough!”
